Yesterday we were able to attend The official presentation of the SAVIA social project, the energy of wisdom. The event was held yesterday, Thursday, April 26, at Endesa's headquarters and brought together prominent figures from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Among others, it featured the special presence of its patron, the athlete Carlos Sainz, y Juan Pablo Riesgo, the Secretary of State for Employment.
Savia's purpose
It is a social project whose purpose is promote a necessary cultural change on professionals over 50 years of age in Spain; a group estimated at around 1 million people.
To achieve this, SAVIA is positioning itself as a digital hub. which represents a generation of highly talented senior professionals who, from now on, will find on the platform a springboard to your development and employability opportunities.

Data
The senior professional segment is already a excluded groupThe EPA data published today indicates that while the number of unemployed young people under 25 fell by 42.900 in the first quarter of the year, unemployment rose by 51.600 among those aged 25 to 54, and by 20.700 among those aged 55 and over. In total, Spain has almost one million unemployed people in the 45-54 age bracketAnd more than half a million are unemployed after the age of 55. The United Nations (UN) places this figure at... Spain in the year 2050 as the oldest country in the world, of whose population the 40% would be over 60 years old. On the other hand, more than 50% of senior managers are out of the market due to their digital skills.
However, The global challenges we face as a society require the collaboration of everyone, of talents and skills different. As SAVIA so originally demonstrated yesterday with three blind interviews, we must stop filtering resumes and professionals based on age and focus on what is truly relevant: the profound talent, commitment, and experience of our country's senior professionals.
