EPUNTO Interim Management en el lanzamiento del Branch en Asturias de Project Management Institute (PMI)

On February 1, 2018, we celebrated the launch event of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Branch in Asturias. the world's largest Project Management organization.

Headquartered in the United States, PMI has over 430.000 members in 207 countries and more than 800.000 certified PMP® (Project Management Professionals). The Institute provides standards development, research, education, publishing, and networking services through its various organizations. chapters local training conferences and seminars, as well as accreditations in project managementThis Asturias branch aims to bring the world of Project Management closer to Asturian companies and organizations to promote the transfer of good project management practices.

This first event organized by the group brought together leading figures from the Asturian business community, including representatives from the Cantabrian Technological Institute in Gijón. The presentations were given by Fernando Milla, Jose Moro y Zacchaeus Azcona.

The event took place throughout the afternoon at the facilities of the Technological Institute of Cantabria in Gijón and addressed the following aspects:

18:15 to 18:30 Reception of attendees

18:30 to 18:45 Introduction of PMI Asturias by José Moro, PMP@ and organizer of the PMI Asturias Branch.

José will give a brief introduction to what PMI Asturias is and the activities planned for 2018.

18:45 to 19:15 The management of innovative projects in uncertain environments by Fernando Milla, PMP® and Lean consultant.

Fernando will talk about how to use new tools and methodologies to manage uncertainty in projects with a high innovative component, so that business hypotheses can be validated quickly, efficiently and with the minimum possible investment.

19:15 to 19:45 Interim Management, an opportunity for Project Managers, presented by Zaqueo Azcona

Zaqueo will talk about the opportunities that Interim Management offers to Project Managers, since these profiles are the most in demand to carry out Interim Management in today's organizations.

19:45 to 20:15 Binomio Project – Contract Management by José Moro

José will discuss the relationship between Project and Contract Management and the advantages of managing both together. This talk will explore the commonalities and complementary nature of the Project Manager and Contract Manager roles, which can improve project outcomes.

20:15 PM to 20:30 PM: Farewell and closing remarks by Jose Moro
